A young father died when he fell from a roof in Texas while hanging Christmas lights. Felipe Gallegos, 39, died Saturday in a tragic accident. The man had a window cleaning business - along with his wife Alisha Flick - and during the winter they also hung out Christmas lights, the local WFAA channel reported. The couple and their 17-year-old son Kaymin were hanging lights for a client in Argyle when the afternoon ended in tragedy. It all happened around 6:30 pm “He was on the roof and then we heard [a noise]. I went out and when I went to see what happened he was lying on the concrete,”his wife told WFAA. "He was saying, 'Help me, help me, so I called 911.'"

An ambulance took Gallegos to the nearest hospital, where doctors informed the family that he had fractures to the skull and chest, and had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage.

Gallegos underwent emergency surgery but did not survive. "He was a great person," Flick added of her husband. “He always had a smile on his face and was a very joker. He always made people laugh. He would do anything to help someone. " The couple had 22 years of relationship.

Flick added that his business is his only way to support the family. A close friend created a GoFundMe account to support the wife and Kaymin, their 17-year-old son. “It is very difficult to lose a loved one who is sick, but at least you know what is coming. In our case we had no idea,”Flick said of the unexpected incident. The family gave Gallegos one last goodbye today at his funeral. Rest in peace.
