Missing Child Was On The Roof Of His House

A boy whose family had reported to police as missing was discovered on the roof of his home in Hialeah, a city located in Miami Dade County, Florida, last Tuesday.

As reported by the ABC subsidiary, little Angel Gort, 11, had an argument with his mother because he did not want to go to summer camp and, shortly after, disappeared from his home. Concerned, she called the police, and before long several police officers and even bloodhounds were scouring the neighborhood trying to find her whereabouts.

It turns out that the boy was hiding on the roof of his house, from where he could hear his grandmother's screams calling him hysterically around the neighborhood. Also from his hiding place he tried to count how many policemen were looking for him and even saw the arrival of various media and a helicopter that was flying over the area.

In that helicopter, from the WSVN7 news network, was a reporter named Ralph Rayburn, who saw the boy on top of the roof and immediately alerted authorities. These are the images that he transmitted and reported - in English.

Rayburn says his first reaction was disbelief and he asked himself, "Am I seeing what I'm seeing?"

For his part, the boy, who according to that station has autism - although other local media have said that he suffers from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder - thought: 'Wow. Did they bring a helicopter just for me?”And then realized the seriousness of the matter, as he came to this conclusion: 'Wow, I really have been in trouble.'

The restless young man, who has escaped from his house other times, assured that after seeing all the problems that he caused this time, he does not plan to do it again.
