A family from Mallorca, Spain mourns the death of their four-month-old baby who died after falling from the hands of his father who was walking down the stairs from his home.
As reported by El País, sources from the Civil Guard confirmed the death of the infant after being pronounced dead at a health center in the area.
The incident happened in a residence located on Rodríguez Acosta street, in the Mallorcan municipality of Andratx, in the southwest of the island of Mallorca.
According to the publication, the boy was in the arms of his father, who tripped while going down the stairs. The causes of the accident continue to be investigated.
Due to the severity of his injuries, the minor was transferred to the emergency unit in an ambulance and admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit where he died despite the care of the doctors.
Authorities say it was all an accident, although the investigation continues.
