The young woman explained that in the photos in which she is seen to be extremely thin, she had been without menstruation for months and had to sleep about 12 hours at night to have enough energy to function.

The Australian said on her website that the demanding modeling industry considered that the hips could not be more than 35 inches wide, but that in the case of her body, her natural proportions were one inch more. That forced her to take extreme measures.

“Some models maintain that requirement effortlessly. I am not one of those girls. That certainly has been a huge burden on me for the past 14 years as a model,”she said.

Fortunately, he realized his poor health, reacted and began to combat the disorder he suffered from, reported People.

“I am so grateful that all of this was in the past. It has taken me a lot of work and recovery, but I appreciate that there is a place for me in the industry now, at my healthy weight,”wrote Malcom, who has since returned to work.

Likewise, she was grateful that having been rejected by one of her most recognized clients led her to begin her recovery and a year after starting her treatment, she assured that she is no longer afraid of food.

My health is my highest priority. If my work got in the way of my health, then I would retire from modeling,”she revealed.
