A Hispanic guard will spend 25 years behind bars for sexually abusing multiple inmates in a New York jail. Eugenio Perez, 49, a Brooklyn resident, cried and begged for mercy upon sentencing, reports the New York Post. Judge Kiyo Matsumoto's eyes watered and she thanked one of the women who denounced the crimes of the guard. "Thank you for taking a step forward and telling the truth," he said.

The former lieutenant was indicted by four different women who say he forced them to perform oral sex on him in 2016 while incarcerated at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center. The man was arrested after the testimonies of all his victims agreed. They all described his genitals - they called him "the horse" because of the size of his penis - and he had not had the circumcision.

The man wept and pleaded not guilty. "I ask for mercy, not only for myself but for my family," he told the jury. "These women were in a vulnerable situation and Mr. Perez told them more than once: 'Do not report this, if you do, nobody will believe you.'" The judge was outraged by the behavior of the guard, who will have to be registered on the list of sex offenders. Pérez has plans to appeal the court's decision, according to reports.
