New details of the crime have come to light in the trial of the five accused of the brutal murder of the teenager Lesandro Junior Guzmán Feliz in The Bronx, NY. As revealed in court, the last thing the 15-year-old of Dominican origin asked for before dying was "water."
Guzmán was hacked to death in front of a warehouse in June 2018 when several suspected members of the Trinitarios gang mistaken him for a member of the rival Sunset gang. The gang members said it was a case of mistaken identity, authorities said.
Antonio Rodríguez Hernández Santiago, Elvin García, Jonaiki Martínez Estrella, José Muñiz and Manuel Rivera have been accused of the murder and could spend the rest of their lives in prison if they are found guilty in the trial that is taking place these days in a court in Nueva York.
Witness Tamika Jones said she saw the murder (caught on video) from her apartment window and described how those responsible fled after the savage attack, The New York Daily News reported.
According to what he said, the teenager had asked them with signs: "Call 911. They cut my neck." He also said that when he went downstairs to try to help him, the young man had already collapsed in front of the door of a nearby hospital. "He had blood all over his body," added the witness. The assistance provided to him did not come in time to save his life. The teenager, apparently, dreamed of being a policeman.
