The pain of his departure cannot be comforted or alleviated, but the love that Kobe Bryant has moved since he left is, at least, a jet of strength and energy for his family. They already knew that it was a heart with legs but the avalanche of affection and messages in his farewell tribute makes it clear that he was a great human being.

His friend Rob Pelinka revealed something very personal during the celebration in honor of the athlete on February 24. The general manager of the Los Angeles Lakers team recounted the favor Kobe asked for through a message the morning of his accident.

The athlete wrote to Pelinca to see if he could help the daughter of a friend, who was traveling with him in that helicopter and also died, so that he could do an internship with a professional baseball team in Southern California. "Kobe lived to improve the lives of others, all the time, until his last text message," he said.

He was like that and they remembered him, dedicated, humble and at the service of others when he was needed, away from unnecessary egos and pride.
