Bullying seems to have taken another life. An 11-year-old girl living in New Mexico allegedly complained of being a victim of bullies before committing suicide. Delia Watson's “unexpected death” caught many by surprise. As reported by local station KOB-TV, Mount Taylor Elementary School in Grants on Tuesday sent a letter to students confirming the death of the girl who was studying there.

Relatives who created a GoFundMe account to help with Delia's funeral expenses expressed on that virtual page that the bullies had asked her to kill herself. "Delia wanted to be accepted by others," says the moving message posted. "Delia felt that her only support was her family but she still felt rejected by her peers." Her loved ones remember her as a creative girl who loved art and was very affectionate, she liked to give hugs.

Before killing herself, some classmates tormented Delia on social media through text messages, her friends revealed. Supposedly, the girl had ventured on these companions who harassed and offended her in various messages she shared on the Internet.

"Delia and I talked to several employees at our school many times about bullying, but nobody heard Delia's voice," her friend Malaya Martínez told KOB-TV.

The Grants Police Department is investigating the allegations of cyber bullying. Malaya assures that the death of her friend Delia could have been avoided. "Surprisingly my friend always held her head up high and always showed a beautiful smile," Malaya added to KOB-TV. "She had a great heart and always saw the noble side of people, even the boys and girls who harassed her."
