The U. S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of California has shuddered at the death, apparently by suicide, of one of their own: federal prosecutor Timothy Delgado, who is also suspected of terminating his wife, Tamara, before killing himself.
According to authorities, last Sunday, members of the Placer County sheriff's office conducted an investigation at Delgado, 43, in Granite Bay, a town located near Sacramento, in the south of the state.
The investigation was conducted after the mother of the deceased called the sheriff's office asking for the couple, spokeswoman Angela Musallam said. The bodies of the prosecutor and his wife, 45, were found at the scene.
"We believe Delgado shot his wife to death before turning the gun on himself," spokesmen said in a statement, confirming that Delgado was a lawyer attached to the US Attorney's Office.
"On Sunday, March 8, 2020, [we] were notified of the death of attorney Anthony Delgado, assistant to the District Attorney for the Eastern District of California, and his wife," spokesmen confirmed to People in a statement. "We were informed that Delgado and his wife died at their home." Placer County police are conducting the investigations with the FBI."
A close friend of Tamara assured KOVR in California that the victim had a daughter and son that they "adored" her. "I just adored her. And now she's gone."
