A 41-year-old married man with children faces murder charges in Florida for the death of his 23-year-old lover who he allegedly murdered because she was pregnant and refused to have an abortion.
Tania Wise's lifeless body was found a month ago in a ditch in a rural area of St. Lucie County. The woman died in a short time before she gave birth, Bryan Beaty, a local police spokesman, confirmed to People.
Authorities are singling out José Soto-Escalera as a suspect in the murder and is now facing two counts of murder for the young woman's death.
According to official documents obtained by People, a witness assured that Soto-Escalera gave the victim $ 500 to have an abortion, but that he had been angry that the woman refused to carry it out.
At the time of being discovered, the body of the future mother presented a severe cranial blow and marks on the throat.
Initially, Soto-Escalera denied the police having maintained relations with Wise and assured that the night of the crime he was at a neighbor's house repairing the battery of his car.
The subject was detained on September 21 after experts obtained digital forensic evidence and witnesses confirmed having seen a van that coincided with Escalera's in the crime zone, confirmed Ken Mascara, county sheriff.
So far the way in which the victim died has not been revealed, however it is claimed that DNA tests confirm that the creature's father was Soto-Escalera.
