Eugenio Derbez Talks About His First Nude

Eugenio Derbez's participation as an actor in the film Dora and the Lost City of Gold led him to make what would be his first cinematographic nude. Given this, the also director explains everything he had to do to prepare properly and perform a decent job in what he considered a challenge in his professional career.

"It is [a total nude] as I appear in this film, yes," Derbez revealed to the Mexican television program Ventaneando (TV Azteca). “I read in the script that there was a scene where I take off my clothes and run naked. So I was on a diet and going to the gym for weeks, weeks and weeks."

What the protagonist of the film Returns are not unaware of was that said scene without clothes would be done by computer; therefore, his efforts over so many months were useless and when he found out it was too late.

“But it is [a nude] animation so they don't panic. Ladies, gentlemen, don't be scared. If you want to laugh at me, go laugh at me, "he explained. “The day has come that I need to confirm the scene, which was the last day, and that's where I find out. I say to the director 'hey what is the scene of taking off my clothes going to be like? [He answered] "Oh no, that is going to be animation." 'Why didn't they tell me earlier ?!' Me in the gym and on a diet for four and a half months.”

Despite what happened, Eugenio Derbez, who is also an executive producer of this film, is happy because it is a few days away from opening in the United States and in his native Mexico.
