Faulkner County Police in Arkansas arrested two teenage boys on Monday suspected of kidnapping and killing a 71-year-old woman who had just left a TJ Maxx warehouse.

Tacori Mackrell, 18, and Robert Lee Smith Jr., just 16, are now facing capital charges for the death of the woman who lived under the name Elvia Fragstein while still alive, as confirmed in a press release obtained by People.

The woman's husband was the one who alerted the authorities by reporting her disappearance after she did not return from shopping on July 7.

Video cameras captured the woman leaving the TJ Maxx warehouse in Conway Commons around 3:30 p.m. that day. Then her 2013 Honda CRV car appeared in videos rushing out of the parking lot.

Police believe the young men kidnapped the woman just after leaving the facility, took her aboard her car, and after murdering her left her stranded on a road in neighboring Jefferson County.

The victim's body was located at the aforementioned point on Wednesday, July 11, and his charred car was discovered on the 17th in Pine Bluff, 80 miles from there.

Mckrell and Smith are being held at the Faulkner Correctional Center on charges of kidnapping and theft of property. The capital charges were added this Wednesday.

Both are expected to be prosecuted as adults.
