Santiago Galindo Found Dead

On Tuesday, the famous Mexican producer Santiago Galindo, internationally recognized for his work on La voz México, Pequeños Gigantes and Bailando por un Sueño, among many other television programs, was found dead of an apparent suicide.

According to journalist Carlos Jiménez, his lifeless body was found this morning inside his car after the producer left his house located in the Desierto de los Leones neighborhood, in the Álvaro Obregón delegation in the Mexican capital.

"He used this magnum revolver to kill himself with a shot," Jiménez said in a tweet showing the white vehicle where the body was found.

Jiménez also posted another tweet with highly graphic images showing what appears to be Galindo's body while still holding the gun with his bloodied body. The post also includes photos of elements of the Mexico City Public Security Secretariat in the crime zone apparently investigating what happened.

"We are here to give news that has dismayed us and that hurts all of us who work here on Televisa, for him, for his family … they tell us that Santiago Galindo died," she said, and surrounded by her colleagues from the Hoy (Televisa) is co-hosted by Andrea Legarreta. "Santiago was preparing the series [on the life of the singer] Pedro Infante and also a soap opera," said Erik Rubín's wife, visibly costed. "We do not know the reasons for his death. We are so sorry.”

At his side, among others, appeared Galilea Montijo, who could not contain her tears when she heard the words of her companion. The presenter had a close professional relationship with the producer thanks to her host of Pequeños Gigantes, which is broadcast on Univision in the United States.

The Attorney General's Office reported through its official Twitter account that the case is already being investigated: “An investigation folder was started for the crime of homicide from other causes, after learning of the death of a motorist who apparently committed suicide in the streets of the delegation,”he said in a post published a couple of hours ago.
