The brothers Raúl and Marcos Midón were blind when they were babies but today they have very successful lives. Raúl Midón, who is an award-winning composer, shared his inspiring story with Primer Impacto (Univisión). An oversight of medical personnel at the hospital where they were born in New Mexico caused blindness when they were babies. The brothers were born premature and were in incubators without having their eyes covered, which according to him caused them to lose their sight, according to the musician. "That's when I lost my sight," Pamela Silva Conde told the presenter.

Their father, an Argentine dancer, raised them alone as the twins' mother died of an aneurysm when they were young. "My dad had to do everything, he had to cook," he remembers of his father, who played the role of father and mother. His sacrifice was worth it since today his two children live full lives. Marcos Midón is a senior scientist at NASA while Raúl conquers stages worldwide with his music.

Raúl began his musical career playing in Miami bars, then he was a showgirl of artists such as Enrique Iglesias, Shakira and Alejandro Sanz. In 2003 she played at Carnegie Hall in New York and The New York Times gave her an excellent review. "That was my first break," she said of her path to success.

The composer also found love two decades ago with his wife, who is also his manager. "I can't do anything without her," he says of his partner, who is her great support. He also appreciates his father's unconditional love. "We were the most important thing in his life," he concludes.
