A father posed as a client looking for prostitutes to rescue his teenage daughter from the streets. The man, who preferred not to identify himself for security reasons, told the newspaper El Tiempo that his 13-year-old daughter disappeared a day after he dismissed her as he used to do on the school bus. Her odyssey began on May 7 when her daughter did not return home from school.
The desperate father began searching social media like Facebook and WhatsApp for answers to see what his daughter was sharing with others looking for clues to her whereabouts. "We followed a classmate whom we suspected and began to see that she had publications, that she offered her body and that she took very suggestive photos in her underwear," she said. "What are we going to do today with a little friend?" He says, saying one of the messages with which they offered girls for sex.
The man saw a phone number and called to set up an appointment for 200 pesos. "He tells me he has a new friend and he quotes me on 22nd Street with Carrera 14 on a corner where there is a gasoline pump," he adds. The meeting point was in the Santa Fe neighborhood in Bogotá.
At night he came to an alley where he saw two girls leave and one of them was his daughter. The youngest was dressed in a miniskirt and black stockings. “I got nervous and I hide; I wait for them to turn their backs on me, but they were going to get into a taxi and then I took them with my hand, I hug my daughter, and at that moment three guys come out,”he said.
The father managed to grab his daughter and escape with her in a van while several men shouted insults at her. “Her face was unrecognizable. Her eyes were pimpons, I imagine she cried too much. They had taken away her cell phone, her uniform, her sweatshirt,”she said. When they took the teenager to the doctor, they informed the family that they had drugged her. The case is under investigation by the Prosecutor's Office and the Police for Children and Adolescents in Colombia.
