There are stories that might seem like soap operas and that have, as most of the time, a happy ending. This was the case with Wang Mingqing, a man of Chinese origin who, desperate not to find his lost daughter 24 years ago, decided, as his last hope, to become a taxi driver in order to have a better search possibility. In the end, his efforts paid off.

It all started in 1994, when this man, who then had a street stall, left his three-year-old daughter, Qifeng, at the traveling shop to seek change. On his return, the little girl had disappeared. Thereafter, he and his wife, Liu Dengying, unsuccessfully searched for her.

"The three of us left the house happy that morning, but only her mother and I returned," Mingqing told the Beijing publication Diario del Pueblo.

In the absence of results, in 2015, this father decided to become a taxi driver to tell the story about his daughter to each passenger who will board it. Thus, a police cartoonist, after reading the narration, used a robot to recreate the face of the now lost adult; Later, the image was disseminated on social networks, which was seen by a woman named Kang Ying, who was reflected in the snapshot; she immediately contacted the couple and the authorities.

After performing the DNA test on April 1, it was verified that she was the daughter of Mingqing and Dengying. And after videoconferencing, the family reunited again.

"The whole world told me I didn't have a mother, but I do!" Said Qifeng, who is now married with two children.

"Now we can finally meet again," Wang Mingqing told the Beijing Youth Daily.
