Woman Finds Worms On Her Skin

A woman weighing more than 700 pounds underwent an operation to lose weight, because they found worms on her skin.

The story of Lisa Fleming, 49, is moving. Fleming was overweight when she had her first daughter at age 15. Since then, her weight has been increasing. However, Fleming made the decision to change her life, after weighing 704 pounds and being bedridden. Furthermore, Fleming found worms in the folds of her skin. A very worrying fact.

The woman had not been able to get out of bed in years. People indicates that it is the same bed that her mother used, who also suffered from obesity, and died in it.

Fleming had to be transferred for six hours to reach the hospital where she would undergo an operation to lose weight. "I'm tired, I'm hungry, and I'm not excited for paramedics to move me out of this bed," Fleming said, in an excerpt from yesterday's recording of the show, My 600-Lb. Life that transmits TLC. "God, give me strength," said the woman.

The People note notes that seven paramedics with various emergency vehicles came to Fleming's home to get her out of bed. The paramedics used a ramp to be able to transfer it to the ambulance. "Paramedics had to reinforce the ramp they used to get me out of the house," Fleming revealed. "I can't believe [the situation] came to this. But, at least I'm doing something before it's too late, "admitted the nearly 50-year-old woman. When they asked her if she was ready, she admitted not being ready, but she told them to move her, because if there was one thing she knew it was that she was "sick of this damn bed."
