Going on a trip can sometimes be uncomfortable and tedious because of waiting at airports, delays or cancellations that test passengers' patience.
That's why an employee at a New York state airport has received applause who makes travelers laugh while having a good time doing his job as a runway operator.
Kyran Ashford, who works at Greater Rochester International Airport, loves his occupation and is not afraid to add a little bit of pace to offer travelers a real show.
One of his particular demos was videotaped by country music singer Terry McBride, who shared it on his Facebook page. In the images, Ashford can be seen dancing while giving directions to a plane as a man shakes his orange cones and moves his arms and hips as the plane maneuvers down the taxiway. "And then … this happened outside my window when I was leaving New York to go home to Nashville," McBride wrote in the title of the video. "This guy is great!"
Ashford has been working at the Rochester airport in upstate New York for five years, and has already made a name for himself for bringing smiles to passengers as they wait to board, either singing or rapping rhymes, according to the Rochester Democrat newspaper. Chronicle.
"If I can make someone, at least one person, smile and change their day, that means I'm doing fine," Ashford told the newspaper. "I did my job."
McBride's Ashford video has gone viral, receiving over 8 million views and 104,000 likes on Facebook.
"Wherever you are in life, it just carries a positive message," Ashford told the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle. "No matter where you are working. No matter what you are doing. You are in control of your day. That is the mindset I work with … Whatever I can do to change my day, it will show others that they can also change the day. day and keep a smile on your face."
