A week ago it was revealed that the Mexican José Clemente Vázquez, who was in Dublin, Ireland, had disappeared. Now, the Mexican authorities report that the body of the young man was found dead.

"Based on the information provided by the Irish police, it is reported with regret that José Clemente Vázquez was found dead due to a tragic accident," the Mexican Embassy in Ireland said in a statement.

According to this agency, investigations will continue regarding what happened to this young man, who was last seen on Wednesday, October 4, at the Dicey's Garden pub in that city, where foreign students usually gather.

"The work and collaboration that the Irish authorities have offered at all times, while concluding with the investigations leading to the case, is also appreciated," he added.

The embassy asked for respect for Vázquez's family, although it did not make clear when his remains will be transferred to Mexico, nor the conditions in which the body was found. However, some correspondents from various media reported that he was found in one of the channels near the aforementioned bar.

"In these times of mourning, please offer José Clemente's family as much privacy as possible," he concluded.

When family and friends noticed his disappearance, they immediately started a crusade to try to locate him. In addition, they informed the authorities to help them find him.

José Clemente Vázquez was 24 years old, originally from Puebla. He studied a degree in Architecture and has been in this Irish town since last February, where he studied English.
