Rihanna sent a forceful message to Donald Trump about the subhuman conditions that Puerto Rico faces in the face of the massive destruction that Hurricane Maria left behind on the Island, through social networks.
The Barbados singer sent two messages via Twitter to the President of the United States. The first one under the hashtag #PuertoRico questioned him about the health situation that the Island is going through, after the devastation that occurred on September 20. Rihanna accompanied this message with a video in which a young woman denounces the lack of electricity, water and conditions so that hospitals in the western area can operate. "#PuertoRico https://instagram.com/p/BZg-VNPFV3A/ @realDonaldTrump ????????", she wrote on her account.
But, Rihanna's efforts did not stop there. The singer wrote a message on her Twitter account demanding action by the president, given the precarious situation in the country. The interpreter published the second message with the cover of the Daily News that reflects what is happening in Puerto Rico. Her language was respectful, but her message was forceful. “Dear @realDonaldTrump I know you probably already saw it, but I just want to make sure! Don't let your people die like that."
Category 4 Hurricane Maria hit the Island last Wednesday, September 20, leaving a wave of mass destruction throughout the American territory, because Puerto Rico is part of the United States. Therefore, the solidity of the message sent by the singer. The Island was left without an electricity, communications system, and gasoline distribution is minimal and very slow. In addition, there is a shortage of food and clean water.
