A new case of domestic violence leaves one more fatality. This time, Aurelio Teran, 38, was arrested in Ventura County last Sunday for allegedly stabbing his wife to death. This is confirmed by PEOPLE magazine.
Police reports also indicate that the terrible event was carried out in front of their 12-year-old son. Police immediately responded to a call to the department from a citizen who was in the vicinity of the crime scene.
The spokesman for the case said that Teran's wife was found with multiple stab wounds and that she was quickly taken to the UCLA Medical Center hospital where she would die soon after. The person responsible for the crime was also taken to the hospital, but the reason for this transfer is unknown.
The events took place at his home in Sherman Oaks around six in the morning on Sunday as reported by the KTLA station. The couple's little boy ran out of the house, calling for help, and the neighbors quickly called 911.
When the officers appeared at the scene, the victim was on the ground full of knife wounds in the upper part of his body, as explained by the same chain.
The 12-year-old boy was not injured during the attack and is currently in protective custody, officials told the Los Angeles Times.
The Los Angles police assured PEOPLE that Teran will soon be transferred to their custody. At the moment it has not been revealed where he is being held. The charges against him, whether he has to make a statement or whether he has hired an attorney, remain to be known.
