After the fateful attack in the city of Manchester that occurred after a concert by the singer Ariana Grande last May, it was revealed that the families of the 22 fatalities left by the terrorist attack will receive a quantity of Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Coldplay and Black Eyed Peas teamed up for the presentation that took place at Old Trafford's iconic cricket ground just two weeks after the attack.
"The payments will be distributed to families thanks to the impressive public support after the attack," said Sue Murphy, one of the directors of the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund initiative. Murphy also added that they are still determining how to distribute the remaining money they received in donations from the public.
The TMZ report adds that part of the donations will also go to those who were injured during the attack, which occurred on May 22, when Salman Ramadan Abedi, 22, detonated an explosive device at the Manchester Arena at the end of a concert by Ariana.
