A young Michigan boy was sentenced to up to 100 years in prison for beating a 64-year-old man to death in what was a rampant attack of fury that left his victim completely disfigured in a church parking lot.

On September 29 of last year, when Christian Hillman was still 18, he was riding his motorcycle down a street in the Alto community, when he began to star in a vehicular fight with William “Andy” McFarlan, who - according to his defense attorney - He began to turn on the lights of his vehicle and to sound his horn behind him.

The young man stopped in a church parking lot and McFarlan followed him. According to his defense, there was no reason for him to follow him "unless the intention was to fight."

However, Blair Lachman, deputy prosecutor in that case, stated that even that would not have justified the teenager's response: "I think that just because someone gets angry in an incident of anger on the road, it does not justify assaulting and killing a man," he commented during the trial.

According to USA Today, eyewitnesses to the fight stated that Hillman kicked McFarlan, several times even after he collapsed next to his truck. He was later transferred to the hospital in critical condition and five weeks later he died.

McFarlan suffered multiple fractured ribs, broken facial bones, and a fractured skull. And he died almost five weeks after the beating.

With the crying, the son of the victim asked the court for the full weight of the law, expressing that he had lost "his hunting partner, my father, my fishing partner … and everything."

The trial ended with Hillman's sentence of 22 to 100 years in prison for the second-degree murder of a man who may have been his grandfather.
