Lo Angeles police are looking for the person responsible for kidnapping a woman in broad daylight Wednesday in the Sylmar neighborhood of the San Fernando Valley, forcing her into a vehicle.

As reported by the Los Angeles Times, the incident was recorded on a security camera, which has allowed the police to obtain important clues about the author of the crime and his vehicle. To find him, the authorities have spread it on their social networks so that the public can help identify him and rescue the alleged victim.

The police explained that the kidnapping took place around noon in the 15000 block of Calle El Cajón. The images capture a robustly built man talking to a woman, who tries to put distance between the two on more than one occasion.

At one point, the man opens the passenger door of a nearby minivan - Chrysler brand and light blue - then drags the woman by the hair and throws her into the vehicle.

The victim tries to escape, but the assailant pushes her into the car, closes the door, and runs to the driver's seat. In the images you can see how the vehicle moves away.

The victim has been described as a Latina between the ages of 25 and 35 with long black hair. Her alleged kidnapper weighs around 250 pounds and is believed to be in her 30s to 35s. In the video she is wearing a baseball cap.

Investigators suspect that the man and woman know each other, but it is unclear what may have motivated the kidnapping.
