California police on Friday indicted Aramazd Andressian Sr., 25, for the murder of his 5-year-old little son Aramazd Andressian Jr., Who had disappeared in Pasadena. The last time he had been seen was in the magical world of Disneyland Park, in California, on April 20.
According to the Los Angeles newspaper La Opinion, neither the little boy nor his body have been found yet; however, the authorities believe that his father had taken his life and that it will not be impossible to prove it, even when they have not found the body of the creature. “ We have a lot of evidence that shows him how the person responsible for taking his son's life. The only thing we lack is the body. We've had other similar cases before,”said Joe Mendoza, a homicide lieutenant with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department (LASD).
Suspicions against Andressian arose when her son disappeared while in her custody. On April 22 he had to give it to his mother Ana Estévez - from whom he was divorcing - but he did not arrive and instead was found unconscious in his gray four-door BMW car parked in Arroyo Park in the city of South Pasadena. The boy was not with him, so his father was detained by the police.
After spending several days in prison, the suspect had to be released for lack of evidence. Upon leaving prison, he went to Nevada without suspecting that the police were following him the entire time. “I had been socializing in Las Vegas for 47 days. We found out because we had him under surveillance. And his way of acting did not match that of a suffering father. If my son had disappeared, I would be doing what his mother was doing, distributing flyers, looking for him everywhere, said Mendoza.
Also, the father had changed his appearance a lot, because he had removed his mustache and beard, and had cut his hair. Investigations also indicate that he was about to leave the country, and that he wanted to travel to a place that did not have an extradition agreement with the United States.
Estévez and her husband still appear to be facing a rather turbulent divorce process, and authorities believe this may have led to the murder of her son. Through a statement, she stated that her heart is broken and that she will miss her son "immensely every second of every day" for the rest of his life.
