It is already known that driving while using a cell phone is as dangerous or more dangerous than driving under the influence of alcohol. So is distracted walking down the street looking at the screen.
This was discovered by a woman in the town of Plainfield, New Jersey, in a video that has gone around the world. The lady was walking down the sidewalk sending a text message on her phone when, suddenly, she lost her balance and fell through the open door of a cellar.
It is not known why that cavity on the sidewalk had its doors open, the truth is that the careless woman was so entertained with her cell phone that she did not notice that the door of the hatch that gives access to the basement was up, so He stumbled and rushed into the hole.
Despite the fact that the images may seem funny, the fact is that the 67-year-old woman had to be rescued by emergency personnel, although she did not suffer serious injuries. According to her family told local media, the lady is legally blind and suffers from diabetes.
"I thought driving and texting was a bad thing," said Miguel Delgadillo, who runs a barber shop in the area. "Now it's texting and walking."
