They Kill Father Before His Children

Jacksonville, Florida police are investigating the murder last Wednesday of a father in front of his partner and their two young children, allegedly at the hands of the man who had offered a free puppy on Facebook.

According to the local NBCl station, Christopher Scott Bowman, 39, was shot in the chest in his own home by the stranger whom he had just contacted through the social network to adopt his puppy.

The subject, whom he had never seen before, insisted on being himself the one to take him home. When he did so, the victim invited him to come into the house for a drink of gratitude.

Chelsea Bowman, the victim's fiancee, explained to the authorities that, once inside the house, the owner of the pet did not want to leave despite the suggestions made that it was late and the children had to go to sleep.

According to his testimony, the guest began to lose his nerve and began to hit the owner of the house, until he finally put a gun to his head. When he tried to run away, he shot him in the chest. The little ones, ages 8 and 6, ran out of the house to alert neighbors.

When the police arrived at the scene, they could not do anything to save the victim's life, but they managed to arrest the individual.

At the moment the case is still under investigation.
