Organizers of the prestigious Roland Garros tennis tournament in Paris expelled a player for trying to kiss and finger a journalist who was interviewing him live on television.
The French Tennis Federation revoked the credentials of Maxime Hamou, 21, on Tuesday, after his behavior with the reporter Maly Thomas of the Eurosport TV network.
In the clip, which has gone around the internet, you can see how Thomas approaches the French player to get his impressions of the tournament and the French tennis player proceeds to place his left hand on the man of it. Little by little, Hamou, attracting the reporter with his hand and forearm - always keeping himself smiling and casual - until at a certain moment he tries to kiss her on the neck.
The woman tries to continue the interview, but Hamou continues to try to kiss her and even reach to touch her breasts with the tips of her fingers. Everything, under the gaze of another player who stood next to them and the cameraman, who captured everything live.
The sanction of said sports body was applied "after his inappropriate behavior towards a journalist," various media reported.
France's Sports Minister Laura Flessel turned to Twitter to express her outrage at what she called an "assault," while Parliamentarian Cecile Duflot criticized the reaction of those who were there. "He kisses her forcibly, she tries to escape, he grabs her neck and everyone … laughs #tired"
