18-year-old Boy Is Killed Outside His School

An 18-year-old Mexican boy was murdered by one of his classmates at the entrance of a technical school in Monterrey. The attacker took out a knife and wounded his partner in the abdomen. As soon as they found out what happened, the school authorities called an ambulance that took the young man to a hospital, where he died hours later. So far the reasons for the quarrel between the two students are unknown.

According to the information issued by the spokesman for the state of Nuevo León, Aldo Fasci, the school authorities had met days before with the aggressor and his parents because he had already presented hostile and irregular conduct. After the meeting, the young man agreed in writing to be better behaved and agreed to receive psychological help. The young man is in the hands of the authorities.

"We are working on a new stage of security in schools to avoid the acts that we have seen in the last year," Fasci said at a press conference, while ruling out an increase in the police presence in state teaching institutes.

Fasci insisted that the quarrel took place outside of school and that it was not during school hours. However, she recognized the problem that exists in that northern city. In January, another 15-year-old boy shot three of his classmates and his teacher at another school in Monterrey. After shooting, the assailant shot himself and died in hospital.
