In less than 24 hours, a couple of bodies have appeared in two different ponds in New York's Central Park. The first was found Tuesday in the water concentration located near 86th Street and Fifth Avenue known as the Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir; the second was located on Wednesday in a nearby area known as The Pond and showed no signs of violence.

Floaters, as the police often refer to floating lifeless bodies, were found by park staff. I thought it was garbage. She didn't look like a human,”a witness mentioned to local media when the first deceased was discovered to be naked and without signs of trauma.

Although the identity of the victims is unknown - and the remains are greatly deteriorated - the New York Police forensic team has reported that both belong to the male gender.

Currently, police officers are independently conducting investigations to determine the causes of the deaths and to rule out or confirm whether any of the deaths was the result of a criminal act. It is also intended to conclude how long they were submerged in water.

The high temperatures that appear in spring and summer times have been a determining factor in bringing bodies to the surface that were at the bottom of large concentrations of water, as happened with two other dead people found in April in the Hudson River, also in New York City.
