Hispanic Young Woman Found Dead In California Park

Samantha Bustos was last seen last Friday night at a party surrounded by several unknown men. The body of the young Hispanic woman was found Monday in a park in California and authorities ask for help in the investigation of her murder. The search for the teenager ended in tragedy when the body of Bustos, 15, was found dead in a Compton industrial park.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed that the body was found at around 1:30 am Samantha had gone out to a party Friday night with her best friend, authorities reported. ABC 7 reported that the friends had gone to a house party and that Samantha was last seen in the company of several unidentified men. "I contacted her best friend," Victor Lopez, a cousin of Samantha's, told the channel. "I was wondering if he had come home. We couldn't find it and we started looking for it on Saturday morning."

According to investigators, the young woman's body showed a traumatic blow to the torso. The cause of her death has not yet been determined but police are investigating her case as a homicide, PEOPLE confirms.

A worker from that industrial area in Compton found the body of Bustos lying behind a bush. "It's devastating to have to deal with all of this," his uncle Junior De Jesús told ABC 7. "My heart is broken. This breaks your soul. It's terrible".

Samantha's grandmother told the channel that her granddaughter was a good student and had a very friendly personality. No suspect in the crime has yet been identified.
