Las Vegas authorities are asking for the public's help to identify a body that was found burned outside an apartment complex in the so-called City of Sin.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the girl's body was discovered by chance on Saturday while two people were playing with her drone and discovered black spots on the walls of a building. When the police arrived they found the remains of the woman who had been burned hidden between two walls. "It's pretty scary," said Dan McGrath, a lieutenant with that city's Metropolitan Police Department. "We don't have much information, but we do have [the body] of a short young woman who is dead."
At the moment, the information the researchers are handling is that she would be between 16 and 20 years old, and her complexion was 5'4 ″ tall and weighed approximately 100 pounds. There are indications that a flammable substance was used to burn her body, so they believe she was killed.
The researchers drafted the young lady for the public to help identify her. "The sooner we identify her, the faster we can find out who she was with, who she teamed up with and who could have done this," McGrath explained.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Homicide Section of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department at 702-828-3521, or by email: [email protected].
