A Miami judge denied bail to a man who faces charges of attempted first-degree murder for trying to stab and run over his boss after he fired him.

As reported by the Miami branch of ABC, Irelio Reyes Osorio was enraged that his boss Reynaldo Méndez fired him for drinking at work. Reyes Osorio began sending text messages to Méndez in which he threatened that he would kill him with a machete, a pistol and a knife if he did not pay him two days of work that he supposedly owed him.

Mendez agreed to meet him at a coffee shop in Hialeah, a city in Miami-Dade County. There, after arguing for a few moments, Reyes Osorio stabbed him in the chest and arm. Injured, Méndez defended himself by throwing a stone at him and when he tried to call the authorities, already in his car, his attacker hit him and pushed against a fence. The shocking images were recorded in this video.

Surprisingly, Méndez survived that attack but the dispute did not end there. His attacker, also already mounted in his vehicle, returned a few moments later to try to run him over again, but Méndez managed to escape once again.

Carl Zogby, Hialeah Police Spokesperson, commented that despite everything, Mendez was able to drive himself to the hospital where he was released the same day. "He was lucky because he was able to die three times that day," he said. Curiously, the victim was not going to report what happened, but the case came to court thanks to the fact that the owner of the fence that collapsed Reyes Osorio reported this loss to the police.
