The American newspaper The New York Time s rebuked an unidentified journalist who on Sunday called the First Lady of the United States "prostitute" Melania Trump at a social event.
In a statement to Politico.com, the New York newspaper described the journalist's comment as "completely inappropriate" and made it clear that he did not approve of his conduct. "At a party last night, the Times reporter, who does not cover Washington or politics, referred to an unfounded rumor about Melania Trump," the newspaper said. “The comment was not intended to be public, however it was completely inappropriate and is something that should not have happened. The editors have already spoken to the reporter in question about that flaw."
The model Emily Ratajkowski, who appears on these lines and a few months ago posed nude to celebrate that she had reached 10 million fans on Instagram, was the one who reported the incident. Disgusted by the comments of the reporter who described as sexist, she went to her Twitter account to make them known. In her tweet, Ratajkowski describes how she sat next to a journalist from that newspaper on Sunday, who told her: "Melania is a prostitute."
The supermodel, who has appeared in magazines like Sports Illustrated, sent several messages on Twitter denouncing that comment to her almost a million followers. "I don't care about her nudes or her sexual history and nobody should care," says the model's text. And she adds: "Gender-specific attacks are macho and filthy bullshit."
In turn, the First Lady is suing the British newspaper The Daily Mail for publishing a story alleging that in her modeling days, she had worked as a ladies-in-waiting for men. In another legal case on the same subject, Trump reached a monetary settlement a few days ago in the defamation suit against Webster Griffin Tarpley, a Maryland blogger, who had to retract a story in which he echoed the allegation. from The Daily Mail. The blogger also had to publicly apologize to the First Lady.
