Mexican journalist Miroslava Breach, who was a correspondent for the Mexican newspapers La Jornada and Norte de Juárez, was killed this morning.
Breach was shot to death while leaving her home at 6:53 am in the Las Granjas neighborhood in the state of Chihuahua. She was in a red truck and was preparing to drop her son off at school. The 54-year-old woman received 8 bullet wounds and died when she was transferred to the hospital.
According to the portal, however, when the security elements arrived at the scene, they found the journalist inside her truck with multiple shots. Three 9-millimeter caliber caps were found from the alleged perpetrators who fled the scene.
According to information from Mexican media, this is the second murder of a journalist in less than a week.
