Although Hollywood stars were conspicuous by their absence at the inauguration of President Donald Trump, the truth is that they have not been left out of the hectic political scene.

A group of celebrities recently gathered to record another funny satire, this time on video, to mock the measures taken by the new White House. The video is called "The Alternative Constitution."

In the three-and-a-half minute recording, stars like Susan Sarandon, Cara Delevingne, Lizzy Caplan, Dulé Hill, Shailene Woodley and Amber Heard "explain" why Trump has taken steps like the immigration veto and conclude that he is guided for "a wrong Constitution and he hasn't even found out."

The protagonists also make jokes when explaining that the president grew up looking at a Statue of Liberty "alternative" to the official one that, instead of France, was sent by Russia. And that one of the messages of this sphinx is "to be afraid of foreigners".

In a sequence of the video, widely shared on social networks, the actors appeal to those close to Trump to help him change that "alternative Constitution" for the real one and to do the same with his alternative versions of the Bible, the Declaration of Independence and the Statue of Liberty.

"It is for his own good," they say, "to help him stop making embarrassing mistakes."

The project was inspired by presidential adviser Kellyanne Conway's statement when she tried to defend a mistaken White House claim about the inauguration ceremony attendees stating that it was based on "alternative facts."

The video can be seen on the Funny or Die website.
