Woman Beat To Death Her 4-year-old Son For Breaking An Egg

What was it that led a young mother of 4 children to kill one of them with sticks and leave him abandoned in a bucket of water?

That is the question that authorities are asking themselves in the Brownsville sector, in Brooklyn, New York, where this Wednesday they arrested the woman, who responds to the name of Zarah Coombs and who now faces charges of murder and child abuse.

This new story of child abuse in New York has rocked the neighborhood, especially the family, which ensures that they had no idea that the woman was abusive.

It was Zarah herself who, after being handcuffed and arrested in her own apartment, confessed that her son, named Zamair, threw an egg and then she began hitting him with a stick until she no longer made a sound.

Then, the woman took the little boy to a bucket of water and left it there to continue caring for two other children who were in the home, one 1-year-old and the other one-month-old.

At night, the woman's boyfriend, who had gone out to buy marijuana, came to the apartment and his partner told him that the boy was injured and that help was needed.

The man, who is the father of the other two minors, but not the deceased, tried to give him first aid, but when he saw that the boy was not responding and that he had foam in his mouth, he called 911.

At around 9:00 pm, rescue teams and police arrived at the home trying to rescue the boy, who was presumed dead at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn.

Ray Moore, a neighbor who witnessed the arrival of the relief teams, claims that the mother remained impassive while trying to resuscitate the child in an ambulance.”She just stood there as if she didn't care. I just know that if it was me [the one who was bad] my mom would have been in the ambulance helping me."

Little Zamair had another brother, 9 years old. Both are children of different parents and according to Daily News reports, both parents are currently in jail.

As for the confessed murderer, the local child protection agency had already investigated her in 2015 for child abuse. Added to this is that the authorities had come to her home for complaints of domestic incidents on at least three occasions.
