It seems that Bill and Linda Bownds like to be very sure of things before taking any steps. That's why they were dating more than four decades before getting married and confirming what seems like a beautiful story of what lasting love is.
The wedding was precisely the day of their 41st anniversary of dating.
According to the Inside Edition program, the couple living in Texas met in 1975, when he was 31 and she was 30. He was a physical education teacher for Linda's daughter and since he saw her he fell in love with her.
After that attraction, one thing led to another and the lovers began a love relationship that lasted for more than forty years.
The patient girlfriend told that show why they had taken so long to get married: “I figured it would happen when the time was right. I just didn't think it would be in 41 years."
He also commented that she did not touch the subject before her partner, because she is "a lady".
When her boyfriend finally proposed to her and asked her to go “for the next week,” she asked them to marry on Monday, because she wanted it to be as soon as possible.
