Six months after the shocking murder of singer Christina Grimmie, her family has just filed a lawsuit that blames the company that organized the concert in Orlando, Florida, in which the 22-year-old was murdered.

According to People, the lawsuit was filed Tuesday in an Orlando court and it blames the AEG Live company for negligence and negligence for emotional stress in the family after the murder.

Grimmie, a young star who had participated in The Voice contest, was killed on June 10 when she was shot at point-blank range by an unknown person when signing autographs after a concert.

Her death shook the entertainment world with stars like Selena Gómez, Justin Bieber and Adam Levine, paying tribute in various ways and demanding justice for the singer.

The lawsuit is also directed against the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra Plaza Foundation, which owns Plaza Live, the concert hall where the singer died. The documents claim that there was only a “superficial review of packages” at the entrance.

Kevin Loibl, the 27-year-old killer, entered the premises with a 9mm caliber Glock pistol, ammunition, and a large hunting knife, according to Billboard magazine.

The young man fired three shots before being reduced by the singer's brother, Mark, and then committed suicide.
