In what is turning into a mounting wave of teen suicide by teasing from their schoolmates, the parents of one of those victims, Mallory Grossman, are unwilling to cross paths. So they decided to sue the school district for the school he was attending, Copeland Middle School in Rockaway, New Jersey.
As NBC News reported, Dianne and Seth Grosmman say that when they realized the hell their 12-year-old daughter was going through, they spoke to teachers, counselors, and even the campus principal, but all they were told was that the school I was investigating,”and they felt their concerns were not being validated.
Frustrated with the apparent apathy of the school, Grossman's mother indicates that she went further and approached the parents of one of the alleged assailants. "I can confidently say that I spoke to one of the parents the night before about all of this (her daughter's suicide)," she says. Unfortunately he was not taken seriously.
This Monday, in a press conference with his lawyer, Bruce Nagel, in addition to saying that they would sue the school district for that tragedy, the family of the deceased girl also indicated that he has already identified three or four of the students who harassed his daughter, although not publicly, and her lawyer says they are considering taking legal action against their families as well.
While holding a black cell phone in his hands, Nagel stated that it is very sad to think of how Mallory Grossman's life "tragically ended when his own classmates used their cell phones to lead her to this tragedy."
So far, the school district has not made a statement in this regard.
