Suspected Murderers Of Renato Lopez Arrested

Mexican authorities announced on Friday the arrest of the alleged killers of Mexican actor Renato López and his manager, Omar Girón.

At a press conference, Attorney General of Justice of the State of Mexico, Alejandro Jaime Gómez Sánchez, he said authorities tracked down the owner of the truck where the bodies found and captured José Pedro N and Mario Alberto N. The first would be the one who drove the vehicle and the second hired at least two more people to carry out the murder in a material way.

"The first line of investigation that we have been able to establish indicates a possible revenge against the victim identified as Renato López," said the Mexican attorney. "This alleged revenge would have been ordered by a subject from whom we have already been able to gather various information to request the corresponding arrest warrant against him."

López and Girón were found dead on November 23 last. Their shot bodies were discovered aboard a vehicle in a wooded area of the State of Mexico near the federal capital.

According to the prosecutor, the victims were summoned at 5:30 p.m. in the town of Chiluca, municipality of Atizapán, for an alleged "job interview for the actor."

Security cameras captured the actor's vehicle to follow José Pedro N.'s truck. Later, according to authorities, two hired assassins hired by Mario Alberto N. shot the actor and his manager.

On the motives for the crime, the official assured that it was due to a “sentimental relationship that the deceased actor would have previously sustained”.
