Miguel Alejandro Quiroga Murakami was the pilot of flight CP-2933 of the LaMia airline that crashed on Monday night with 77 people on board, including members of the Chapecoense soccer team and journalists.

- He was Bolivian
- The last message he wrote to his family according to information from the BBC Mundo were: “Mommy: I am leaving the Viru Viru airport, in Santa Cruz (Bolivia). I will go to Medellín. I call when I get there.”
- He lived with his family in the Brazilian town of Epitaciolandia.
- He was married to Daniela Pinto, daughter of Roger Pinto, a Bolivian senator. Together they had 3 children.
- He owned the Venezuelan airline LaMia
- His last words before he died were "Vectors, Vectors", when he asked the Control Tower to give him the coordinates for his landing.
- In statements, his family has said that he did everything possible to save the passengers.
Quiroga died with 71 people when the plane he was piloting crashed near Medellín. For now it is known that the aircraft had run out of fuel when it crashed.
Six people survived: Players Alan Rushel, Hélio Neto and Jackson Follman, journalist Rafael Henzel, stewardess Ximena Suárez and coach Erwin Turimi.
