It appears that the murder of young actor Renato López and his publicist, Omar Girón, was not due to a kidnapping as had originally been speculated.
According to the entertainment journalist Flor Rubio, the Attorney General's Office in the State of Mexico "has already ruled out kidnapping, robbery, and so far what is said is that it is a direct adjustment of accounts."
In her Formula Spectacular program, the journalist commented that at the time of the shooting murder, the actor and his companion were in an area of the State of Mexico known for its drug distribution.
However, until now authorities have not publicly linked the two deceased to drugs.
According to Denise Maerke r's newscast, the terrible crime that shocked Aislinn Derbez and other personalities in the entertainment world may have been due to the actor's involvement with the woman of a drug lord: “There are some messages in the investigations with respect to that topic”, said the journalist.
López received four bullet wounds in the abdomen, while his representative was also shot four times, both in the abdomen and in the face. Thirteen bullet casings were found at the scene of the murder.
