The former partner of the boxer, the controversial boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. was found dead Monday night, in a car outside his home in an exclusive residential in California.
According to the entertainment portal TMZ, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department responded to a call for help around 10 p.m. Monday in the city of Valencia, where they found Josie Harris, 40, dead in a car.
At the moment, the cause of death has not been reported and although the authorities do not suspect that it was a murder, the case is under investigation.
Mayweather and Harris had a stormy relationship in which they had three children: Koraun, 20; Zion, 18; and Jirah, 15.
In 2010, the boxer served a 90-day prison sentence after Harris denounced him for domestic violence, the USA Today newspaper reported. At that time, he assured that the famous fighter abused his six times.
Mayweather denied the allegations, prompting the mother of her children to sue him for defamation and demand compensation of $ 20 million. The couple, who had a relationship between 1996 and 2010, were supposed to face each other in court again in December this year, according to the site The Blast.
For the moment, the boxer has not spoken about what happened, and according to his publications on social networks, he continued happily with his trip through Europe.
