Violence in Mexico continues to cause dread. Rich and famous or simple ordinary citizens, all have suffered the ravages of robberies, assaults and shootings that occur with increasing frequency in the Aztec capital.
This time it has been the turn of the show host Juan José "Pepillo" Origel, who on Thursday shook the networks when he appeared in a dramatic video where he denounces a shooting that occurred a few steps from where he was, in the Lincoln Park of the luxurious neighborhood of Polanco.
"It is 9:20 at night, I am in the park with my" children "," Origel said, referring to his puppies, whom he was walking at the time of the events. "Shooting in the park! Here in Lincoln Park! I don't know what is happening. This is the security of Mexico! This is what is happening!", He emphasized showing his hand watch.
After a pause Origel appears in another segment crying and in total shock while listening to the voice of other people trying to comfort him. "I come with my children and the bullet here! He is very bastard! And this is what is happening right now in Lincoln Park in Mexico City! See!" "Wednesday 9 at night," interposed one of the people who tried to console the Televisa driver. "My children!" Exclaimed Origel shuddering to try to carry their pets and leave the place.
Lincoln Park is centrally located in one of the most luxurious and well-protected areas of Mexico City where the artistic, business community and many diplomats reside.
Origel's video emerges just days after he was shot and killed by Luis Alfonso Mendoza, who was known for voicing Gohan in the animated series Dragon Ball.
The actor was gunned down outside his home, located in the Portales neighborhood of Mexico City, another central neighborhood of the capital. His wife Lourdes Adame and his brother-in-law also lost their lives, according to media reports in Mexico.
The list of actors who have lost their lives in Mexico is sadly long in a city that has seen the number of kidnappings and assaults rise dramatically in recent years.
