Demi Lovato is taking her place in front of her fans like a big one. Not only did she perform successfully on stage at the Grammy Awards and this weekend she will sing the national anthem before millions of football fans during the Super Bowl, but the artist is stealing the headlines for the transparency with which she now carries her lifetime.

Speaking to Andy Cohen on her radio show Radio Andy SiriusXM, the interpreter openly discussed her sexuality and opened up to the presenter about what that means for her future.

Lovato confessed that it wasn't until 2017 that she officially told her parents that although she had had boyfriends in the past, she could end up with a woman like her partner.

"It was really emotional, but really beautiful," the singer said during her interview Thursday night. "Since it was all said, I was shaking and crying and just felt overwhelmed."

The singer said that she has "incredible" parents, since both showed their support during the conversation.

"My [stepfather said]: 'Yes, obviously.' And I was like 'Oh, okay dad,'”he explained. "My mom was the one I was super nervous about, but she just [said], 'I just want you to be happy.' That was so beautiful and incredible; I am so grateful.”

In an interview with Apple Music earlier this month, the singer spoke about her sentimental future, which she described as uncertain and stressed that what makes her happy is her family.

"I don't know what the future holds for me. I don't know if I'm going to have children this year or in ten years. I don't know if it will be with a partner or without her,”he said. “I don't even know if I see [the future] with a man or a woman, but I just know that I would love to do that [start a family] this decade. If this decade doesn't pass, maybe the next, I don't know. We will see. But I would love to start doing more things that make me happy and worry less about success.”

She added about her overdose that led to her hospitalization in July 2018: “This is all wonderful and beautiful and I am fortunate and blessed and I am grateful. But I have learned that clearly if all this made you happy, it would not have ended where I ended."
