Telemundo tonight puts an end to the successful saga starring Carmen Villalobos with a final chapter that promises to keep the viewer on edge all the time. When there are only a few hours left for its outcome, his feared villain, Kimberly Reyes, speaks exclusively with People en Español about his experience in this story and tells us, among other things, what was the scene that cost him the most to record and if He wanted to continue playing La diabla now that fiction is saying goodbye to the public forever.
The end of paradise comes to an end, what balance do you make?
The experience has been wonderful, being in a project with an incredible cast with fans who are definitely the ones who make this series and make season after season a success is wonderful. For me it has been an honor.
Were you afraid of the challenge of giving life to La diabla?
Yes, of course I was very scared from the beginning when I found out that I had been given the character. The fans are very tough and very critical and obviously entering to play a character that is very dear to them is very complicated, no matter how much passion you put into the character it will always be difficult to please everyone. I had many fears, but well finally I think that a large part of the audience received the character with much affection and they realized that there was a job behind it, not only from me, but from my colleagues, from my directors…
What was the scene that cost you the most to record?
One of the most complicated scenes to record I think was the one of the fight that they saw in the last chapters. It was a complicated scene not so much because we were wrong but because it was a scene of a lot of concentration so as not to harm us, to make it as convincing as we could in terms of everything that the stage combat required. There were many elements that could be dangerous for us so it was a scene that we spent a lot of time on and that was difficult to do, but the end result was wonderful and that's when you say rehearsals, stay up late… It was all worth it.
Did you want to continue playing La diabla?
More than thinking that suddenly I was wanting, I always feel that the characters reach a point and when they are finished, let's say that somehow I also close it for the moment in my heart. In other words, they will always be part of your life and your work as an actress, but once we left the set I think that what we are left with is the beautiful memories we make of the character and how much fun we have or the acceptance of the public.. But the truth is I dispute to interpret any character, be it the devil or be any other. I love my profession so much that I feel ready for anyone.
Carmen Villalobos and Kimberly Reyes.
The last chapter will air tonight, what can you tell us about the end?
There are many things. I think that they are going to realize that the series is going to be in the end, as we say, it is an open ending, but very interesting where I think that everyone, the good guys and the bad guys, will somehow have what they want. they deserve.
What do you expect to follow for your career after a character like La diabla?
I have many professional dreams. In acting, I think I'm going down a path that I like, that interests me, always making different characters, trying to present myself under various profiles. There is a dream that defines many parts of my life and that people have realized that it is something that I really like and it is the beauty industry. I have been working on it for a long time, knowing products, studying and I would believe that the next professional dream to fulfill would be the whole theme of my cosmetic line.
