Carolina Gaitán Explains Why She Left Sin Sinos Yes There Is Paradise

Carolina Gaitán started in Sin senos si hay paradise in 2016 as the protagonist of the story; However, over the years, her character, Catalina la Mediana, has been losing strength to the point of having almost no presence in The End of Paradise, the last season of the saga currently broadcast on Telemundo.

The notorious absence of the Colombian actress in the fiction headed by Carmen Villalobos has given much to talk about through social networks, but why has Gaitán not appeared in the Telemundo series?

“A year and a half ago I passed the statement that I felt that the character had already fulfilled his mission a little. I sent a letter to all the managers and I really wanted to do my musical monologue, go back to doing theater and that was going to take me a long time, a lot of dedication, so for that reason I stopped participating 100 percent in the series”, explains Gaitán in an exclusive interview with People en Español.

"They told me that it was important to give a decent ending to the character, that they understood my occupations, but that they were still going to ask me to say, giving an end to the character and well, in the end, it never really disappeared, but that was the reason" he adds. "In my situation, let's say that the character did not completely disappear, but rather that we were reducing the recording days so that I could do what I had to do."

Catalina has undoubtedly been a very important character in your career, but to what extent would you say that she has marked a before and after in your career?

I believe that all the characters mark a before and after. I have a character that I really feel that marked a before and after in my life and it was Celia's character named Lola Calvo, but all the characters we play mark a before and after in our careers, and now I am happy with my character of my musical monologue.

What do you get from Sin sinos si hay paradise?

From Sin senos si hay hay paraís or I take many fantastic things, but above all the happiness of having approached so many audiences of so many different nationalities, so many Latinos from so many different countries who were incredibly hooked on the series, so many who thank the first season with My whole heart for that love story between Nachi and Cata.

When in a few years you remember without breasts there is paradise, what do you think will be the first memory that comes to mind?

Definitely I will remember the yellow line, it stuck in my brain forever and ever and I remember jumping a lot to leave and run away with Nachi the first time, that moment and those scenes are beautiful and unforgettable with Juan Pablo Urrego.

Are you still in contact with the actor?

Yes, we have worked on several productions together so we are still friends.
