Dominican Model Wins Elite Model Look Contest

The Dominican Republic is on everyone's lips and not precisely for its beautiful beaches, contagious meringue and its warm people, but thanks to the beautiful Dominican models, who have become the most precious treasures of the most prestigious designers in the world. That is why now, the small island of the Caribbean is a reference for beautiful and exotic women who are also some of the best models on the continent. Young people like Lineisy Montero and Hiandra Martínez, among others, have positioned themselves in a privileged position in the world of haute couture and now another girl is dazzled as the new favorite.

We are talking about Yireh Fernanda Carrasco, the 17-year-old from Santo Domingo, the Dominican capital, who won the first place in the most important modeling contest, Elite Model Look International, thus becoming the first Latin American to obtain this award.

"I still can not believe it. When [I was traveling] to Paris, the plane had a problem and had to land in Canada. We slept one night in Canada so I was two days late,”says the young woman who is 5'10” and was discovered only in May by the scout Sandro Guzmán of Ossygeno Models Management. “I have entrusted myself to God since I left the Dominican Republic and asked in faith to represent my country as best as possible.
