Jennifer Lopez Cries When Collecting Her Fashion Icon Award

Following in the wake of other stars who have made history in the fashion world such as Rihanna or Beyoncé, Jennifer López was recognized last night by the CFDA (Council of fashion designers of America) in a gala full of celebrities in which thanks to her ensemble that of the Bronx shone with its own light. And is that her orange Ralph Lauren Collection set was adorned with 43,200 crystals.

Even more exciting than her dress was the speech she gave when collecting the award, in which she was visibly moved to remember two of her great friends and icons from the world of fashion and catwalks who have passed away this year.

"This year we have lost two great artists, Kevyn Aucoin and Oribe, who helped me go from being a neighborhood girl …", she remembered when she had to stop to dry her tears. "I said I wasn't going to cry."

The one from the Bronx continued remembering the most emblematic looks they created together and dedicated their award to fashion icon of the year.

Honoring its status as a fashion icon, JLo did not miss the opportunity to surprise and stood out with an outfit very different from what he usually wears on the red carpet.

In addition to the crop top with high neck and long sleeves that showed off her incredibly toned abs, the singer completed the look with wide pants that ended in a tail and a ponytail with extensions to below the back that has already become one of their identity marks at gala events.
